This course will explore various methods of statistical measures of ecological patterns and processes using molecular data. Students will learn the foundations for molecular identification of populations to species, and apply various analytical methods to real datasets. The course will use real data for the inference of population structure and migration, growth and decline, detection of demographic bottlenecks and natural selection. We will end up with a view of the future approaches in the field.
