Cheers to Maressa Takahashi! Maressa has successfully completed her Ph.D with a concentration in Evolutionary Primatology (program coordinator Prof. Marina Cords). Congratulations Maressa and welcome to the E3B Alumni cohort.

Congratulations Dr. Duncan Menge who was recently awarded a grant by the Lenfest Junior Faculty Development Committee to support his work with undergraduate student researchers on the research project entitled, “How does symbiotic nitrogen fixation depend on light?”
Best wishes to Lauren Naylor who will be representing E3B in the 3rd annual GSAS SynThesis competition, a Columbia-wide competition for MA students to compete for the best thesis. In the three years of this competition, E3B has placed: 3rd (Vijay Ramesh 2016) and 1st and 2nd (Brandi Cannon and Steph Sardelis 2017). Closing this years series, the Undergraduates enjoyed their Dinner with the Chair. The motivation of the “Dinner with the Chair” series is to invite each cohort into an intimate setting with the department chair and student advisors to discuss pressing issues that directly affect them. See our students, Director of Undergrad Studies and the Program Advisor of the EBHS major enjoying good food and productive conversation.
