I’m a master’s student in Dr. Viorel Popescu’s Biodiversity, Ecosystems, and Animal Studies Team (BEAST) Lab. My research qualitative and quantitative mixed-method approaches to explore how ecotourism influences land-use change and forest conservation in Madre de Dios, Peru, and the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve in subantartic Chile. By combining remote sensing with community-based fieldwork in two distinctively ecosystems, I investigate how tourism networks and local actors drive sustainable development and conservation outcomes.
