Carbon Dynamics at Multiple Scales in Tropical Forests under Climate Change and other Global Change Drivers.
My doctoral research investigates the carbon dynamics of tropical forests by examining stem radial growth, soil and stem respiration, and soil respiration partitioning—to better understand the resilience and vulnerability of the Congo Basin, the world’s second-largest tropical rainforest. I work in collaboration with the CongoFlux Project in Yangambi, DR Congo.
