I am a botanist and evolutionary biologist interested in the ways in which biotic interactions shape genome evolution. My dissertation research focuses on two antagonistic plant-plant interactions that require molecular-level recognition of an interspecific interactant: interspecific pollen exchange and plant parasitism. I work with North American species in the genus Pedicularis, and have conducted field research at Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Crested Butte, Colorado over the course of my PhD.
