I am a second-year M.A. student in Dr. DeFries’ Lab, where my research focuses on the spatial risk of livestock predation in the Peruvian Amazon and its connection to sustainable livestock ranching practices, in collaboration with WWF Perú. Broadly, I am interested in the interdisciplinary study of conservation in human-modified landscapes and agroecosystems, with an emphasis on understanding how we can manage land effectively for both biodiversity and human food production. I received my bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont, where I studied the spatial ecology of free-ranging domestic dogs in west-central India.
